Headband Holder

I've been wanting to make this for a long time, since my headbands are piling up and I'm short on storage.
I originally wanted a pink and green theme for my headband holder but my mom turned our room into blue motif. So to coordinate it, I went for blue. I'm a pink person really, but no hard feelings 'coz blue is a relaxing color. And that's what you do in your room right? Relax.

So This is the finished product:

What You'll Need:
  • 1 meter or 42 inches long and 1 inch wide ribbon
  • 6 pieces of 6 inches long and half-inch wide ribbon
  • Thread and needle
  • Flower ribbon

This flower ribbon I bought from the bookstore is actually used for gift wrapping. You see, you can use anything you want for this part. It could be a cutout letter of your initial, a wood slab, anything.

I sewed the smaller ribbon to big one like this. I folded it in half and tucked in the ends before I sewed. You can do by hand or if you have a sewing machine, go right ahead. I placed them 6 inches apart.

I also sewed in a loop of ribbon so I can hang it on a nail.

So, here is the finished product. Hope you like it. Let your imagination run wild in doing this. Really, the sky's the limit. And have fun!

Smile! :)

Nails! Nails! Nails!

I am back with another batch of nail arts for you!

Here they are! Enjoy!

First, Blue Roses Nail Art. This one won a nail art contest on Instagram that I joined a month ago. YAY!!!! I learned how to do the roses from Robin Moses. Amazing lady, she is.
If you want to see my weekly nail arts follow me on Instagram: chloe_sykretts

Next, Zebra Print and Neon Pink Leopard for Accent Nail Art. I don't really fancy the accent because of the red rhinestone I put in there. I didn't know what I was thinking when I did that, sorry. hahaha. Maybe I'll make another one like this but I'll make it right the next time. :)

Frog Prince Nail Art. Everyone loved this! But this design is not mine. I copied it from Google. Cute eh?

Gradient Bubbles Nail Art. This was inspired by Aubrey Hannah of Instagram. She did a much better job though. Follow her!

This one you'll love. Tribal Nail Art. Awesome , isn't it? This is so fun to do and easy!

Black and White Abstract Nail Art. This hand is not mine, it's my sister's. She requested that I do this nail art for her. Not a big fan of this design, but she wanted it. So I made it. Sorry for the image quality.

A request from a very special person! Batman and Robin Nail Art. Surprisingly, this was easy. Or maybe I was just really happy doing it knowing it's for my Squish! (-^___^-)
Anyway, he loved it! <3

Next up: Color Block/ Stained Glass Window Nail Art. Tricky to do. You need to have  very steady hand and a fine brush to do this. It took me two hours to do this! TWO HOURS! Oh well, it was worth all the hard work.

One Piece Nail Art by IHaveACupcake. She's very talented! Subscribe to her channel so you can see for yourself. :)

Skulls and Roses Nail Art inspired by Robin Moses again. She used different colors and her skulls had ribbons on it. To see the full nail art tutorial click here. My sis' hand again.

Lastly, Superstar Nail Art.  I used gold polish and black acrylic paint for the stars. Super-duper easy to do. If you want, you can make the stars in different colors and use a different background color. Use a tiny brush. Have fun with it!

If you want to learn do nail arts, just go Youtube and search any design you want. If you're a beginner, choose some easy designs first then the more intricate / complicated ones once you're used to doing nail arts.

Thanks for visiting!

Smile, princess

Night Routine for the Month of July / Product Review

Hey, gorgeous!

In this post I'll be sharing my night time routine for the month of July. This will also be a product review.

This is what I do to maintain my skin. To get soft, pimple free face doesn't mean you have to buy expensive products. All you have to do is find the right products for you. Choosing the right product will take trial and error, but once you find it, it will be worth all the trouble, trust me! I wear make up six days a week, and I only get pimples or breakouts once or twice a year.  A YEAR! See, most college students would not bother to by products for skin care other than the most basic, but you have to realize that this is an investment worth taking.

It's not much, since I get home at 9:00 to 9:30 PM everyday and most of the time all I want to do is get into bed and sleep. But I cant do that, can I? My face would rot if I don't remove all the make up on my face. As would you if you do that!

So, here it is.

I use six (6) products every night. Actually, 7or 8 products but I cant put that here coz that product is not mine, its my older sister's. I just steal from her sometimes. hehehehe (-^.^-)

  1. SK-II Cleansing Oil > This one is from my mom. I use this to remove all the make up in my face. It's an expensive brand so apparently I can't buy it for myself. :) Its very mild for the skin and it doesn't have any smell. What I love about this is it removes make up so easily , even if I'm wearing tons of eyeshadow and mascara. After this, I wash my face with a cleansing foam. I use Clean & Clear Deep Action Cleanser. Then pat it dry with a towel.
  2. Skin White Whitening Cleanser > I don't use this often, only when I feel that the cleansing oil and facial foam left any dirt or rather if I don't feel clean enough. It's quite harsh and it stings, so I'm really careful in using it. I also apply this on my knees and elbows.
  3. Garnier Lightening Cream > This is a new product. I used to use Ponds Cream but since Ponds tend to diminish results over time, I went to try another. So I bought a sample sachet of this one. If it turns out satisfactory, then I'm gonna buy the big one. So far, it gave me beautiful results. The skin absorbs it in seconds, and it leaves a matte, dry finish. Not like most creams that leave a sticky feeling.
  4. Snoe Hair Heroes Intense PM Repair > This one's new as well. It has Argan oil and Jojoba oil that repairs hair whilst you sleep. It also promotes hair growth! Yipee! It gave me awesome results, as I expected. My hair grew so fast in three weeks. I just had a hair cut (trim actually) last month, and now its almost back to its old length. That's like WOW! And it reduced my split ends too!
  5. Marks and Spencer Cocoa Butter with Vanilla Hand and Nail Cream > I love this product! I really love it! The smell is amazing and it really makes my skin soft and silky. I use this for my feet too. :)
  6. Johnson and Johnson's Cologne: Summer Swing > Who doesn't like to smell nice before going off to slumber? I just love summery scents. It gives me a fresh feeling. I recommend you include this on your daily night time routine.
The other products I use are Lancome Eye  Lifting Cream.  This is the one I'm talking about. Its my sister's hahaha. The other product is Johnson and Johnson's talcum powder. Sprinkling this on my body like a baby. :D It's a habit from my childhood that I wasn't able to grow out of.

So that's it ladies. I would love to know your daily night time routine too. Feel free to comment below!

Smile a lot! Bye!

HAUL!!!

Im sooooo so egg.zay.ted because this is my very first haul blog post. I've never been into blogging that much before so I haven't taken the time and effort to post anything but my nail arts. But, you know, time changes everything, and so does reading tons of beauty and fashion blogs that Ive come to change my mind. :)

I didn't buy much , 'cause you know, I'm just a lowly college student who gets support from her parents. And I dont want to be too greedy with my frivolities. Too much of that is never good. I have more important priorities and those come first on my list.

So, I went to SM North EDSA and Trinoma for these. It was oh-so tiring. Walking and walking and walking. And I'm wearing a pair of doll shoes for the very first time, gave me painful blisters.D*mn!
But , I gotta admit there's something very satisfying about shopping. And especially when it's sale! hahaha.
My favorite four-letter word: SALE.

Well, here they are:

See, I told you they weren't much.

First, from Nature Republic. I found out about this Korean brand from a brilliant blogger: Kumiko Mae . So I went to Nature Republic Philippines' Facebook page, and I found some stuff I want. I originally wanted to buy their Aloe Vera Soothing gel but its out of stock. So I settled for a pumpkin facial cream and some nail polish.

Looky here! Jang Geun Suk is their endorser!!! Lucky for me, Im a JGS fan!

So, instead of the Aloe Vera Soothing gel, I settled for this. A pumpkin pack. It.Smells.Amazing. It works for all skin types. Rejuvenates and repairs damaged skin leaving your skin soft as a baby's butt!I mean skin. Haven't tried it yet. But I'll be posting a review soon. Hopefully. If life doesn't get in the way, that is.

A base coat and a beautiful gold polish. P65 each.Cheap , eh?

Look at the design of the cap! Isn't that lovely?

Next, Tony Moly, another Korean brand. ( I seem to have gotten hooked to this things nowadays! ) I first fell in love with their brow pencils. Then their polish. So again, I went to their site to see what they got, and of course, so I'll know what to buy when I go to the mall. I wanted their Dear Me Petite Cotton BB Cream since I found so many good reviews about it. But unfortunately, it's out of stock too! Can you believe my luck??!! So, I just bought these:

Baby Doll pot concealer. My Etude House concealer is almost empty and I need a new one, but instead of buying another from EH , I wanted to try this one from Tony Moly. I hope this concealer and I hit it off or else that would be a real waste of money. I'll be posting a review for this too.

Nail polish called RM01. I really love the shade of pink it has. Its fast drying too, which is one of the qualities I look for in a polish.

This is the nail art I made with this polish and the gold one from Nature Republic.

I call this  Crowned Princess.

As I was walking around, I passed by Jewels and I can't help but be drawn inside because their shop is beautiful, besides the fact that there's a huge SALE on the display window. (->w<-)

I found this midriff three-fourths shirt that can also work as a cardigan for as low as P250 ! That's 50% off!
I liked the staff there coz they are so attentive and they give nice suggestions that I really liked. The saleslady there suggested this beautiful high-low dress. But, no matter how pretty  it is, I restrained myself coz I know there are dresses coming from my Mom when she gets home from Singapore.

This shirt will be perfect with my high-cut shorts.

Lastly, I went to Trinoma and bought these stuffs:

From left to right, a hair treatment applicator comb, assorted color rhinestones, a pencil brush and an eyeshadow brush that Im planning to use with the pot concealer from Tony Moly.

All of these are so cheap. From P20 to P40.

I also found a Snoe stall . Lucky me! And I bought this.
I found so many good reviews about this thing. And Im dying to try it out.

I am so sure this is gonna work wonders! Almost all of their products receive so many good reviews and I'm burning to buy more from them! Oh well, next time.

~0~

That's it dearies. Be sure to check out my product reviews soon! And oh, maybe next week, I'll be posting a new batch of nail arts again, so dont you miss it!

Smile a lot, princess!
Bye!
